CHARLTON CHURCH

SUMMER 2017 GROWTH GROUPS:

BIBLE STUDY with Pastor Les

Join Pastor Les for this look at the two pastoral letters from Peter written to a group of believers who were struggling with spiritual maturity. Our focus will be on false teaching, standing firm in our faith, and exploring what spiritual maturity looks like today.  The group will meet on Tuesdays, July 11 and 18 at both 10 AM and 6:30 PM for your convenience.

FACEBOOK DEVOTIONAL GROUP

If you use Facebook, you may be interested in joining our summer devotional group.  Three times a week, a short devotional will be shared as we discover new ways to observe Sabbath, a time of rest and worship in the midst of our busy lives. Only group members will be able to see the devotion and any discussion by other group members.

HOT TOPIX - Second Thursday of the month at 6PM

Join Chuck Kaufmann at 6PM for dinner and discussion at a local restaurant. The discussion at each gathering is based on current “hot topics” in the news, and how these issues affect our faith journey. The location will be announced to those who sign up; you can sign up on the Connection Card on Sunday morning or by calling the church office.

Do you have an idea for a small group? Let the church office know what it is. What’s your passion? Host a small group about it! Be creative. If you would like to become involved in a small group and have some questions, give the church office a call and we’ll be glad to help you.

The mission of Charlton Church is “to make, grow, and equip disciples.” We do that through the groups that meet to study, serve and fellowship together so that we can become more like Jesus and serve him better. Charlton offers a range of opportunities to grow as a follower of Christ and this fall several groups will form to give you a chance to meet with others who are on the same path of growth. The groups will gather weekly to discuss their chosen theme, share their experiences and concerns, pray for their health and continued growth, and probably enjoy some not-so-healthy snacks. It is likely that they will also plan some alternative time to “play” together and a means to serve the church or community as a group.

Some groups meet throughout the year but welcome new members any time.

Matthew 18:20

Where two or three are gathered in my name: I am among them.
